Some time ago, my daughter was at the city park playing with some friends. Nothing noteworthy about that, except, in this particular instance, she had fallen off of a rock and broken her arm. My wife, who was very upset, called and asked me to go pick her up and take her to the hospital.

For some time now, many years in fact—OK, perhaps decades—I have been thinking I would author a dispatch on the subject of procrastination.
A pestilence is defined as “a contagious or infectious epidemic disease that is virulent and devastating” (Merriam-Webster). The Oxford Dictionary lists the following words as synonyms of pestilence: plague, bubonic plague, the Black Death, disease, contagious disease, contagion, infection, sickness, epidemic, and PANDEMIC.
During tumultuous and troubling times, the Lord draws our attention to particular messages from His Word that are perfectly applicable to the challenges and afflictions we face.
